This fall has been whizzing by—I cannot believe it is almost November! I have been dying to go to a farm to go apple picking but I completely missed the peak apple picking season, however I have still been craving a fall trip to my favorite farm. So when Enterprise CarShare reached out to me to try the program, I knew exactly where I wanted to go.
My good friend and photographer, Katie (KS Photography) came with me to my favorite childhood farm, which happens to be next to my parent’s house. My dad and I have a tradition of walking over to the farm and picking out the most perfect pumpkin and although sometimes we disagree on what “perfect” means we carve the same thing every single year…stay tuned. I am hoping we will be creating our masterpiece this weekend.
Thank goodness for Enterprise CarShare: I was able to rent an SUV large enough to bring home all the pumpkins and apples my little heart could handle. Now my fall loving self is pretty “falled” out, if that’s possible. If you aren’t familiar with the program, Enterprise CarShare is a membership-based service (super easy application process) and once you are approved, you’re able to view and book vehicles in your area 24/7 (Boston has so many vehicle pickup locations all over the city).
The best part about Enterprise CarShare is that you can rent a car for an hour or overnight—it is completely up to you. My experience was absolutely seamless and I am so excited to take another trip. Enterprise CarShare is offering a special promotion for you all if you sign up via THIS link, giving you your first year of membership for $0, and you will receive $20 in driving credits by entering BLOG16 in the promo code box when you sign up!

*Thank you to Enterprise CarShare for partnering with me for this post and thank YOU for supporting the brands that make Prep of Boston possible. As always, all opinions are my own.
I know you all are probably SHOCKED to see me in white and blue but I mean what can I say?? I like what I like 🙂 What is better than a simple top and a pair of jeans matched with an oversized tote to carry all of you extra layers for the fall (and your snacks, and I guess like a wallet and keys)?? I am so in love with this look and it is so comfy and simple. It can be dressed up or down with different shoes and can be worn to football games or on a date night with some heels.
Thanks to my dad’s side of the family and their genes, I have an abnormally long torso and short little legs and therefore have a hard time finding jeans. My genes are no good for jeans apparently. This weird ratio of my top half to my bottom half means shopping in the regular section for tops and shopping in the petite section for bottoms and dresses for me. It also makes trying pants on really frustrating knowing that I will need to have them hemmed which usually makes me not buy them because who has got time to go get their pants hemmed? Not this girl, I have a hot date with Netflix I can’t be skipping out on. So, I have been searching for the perfect brand of jeans and I had come to the conclusion that the high end designers just are way too long for me…that is until I discovered Madewell denim. Their jeans are the most comfortable jeans I have ever put on my body and they have just a teeny bit of stretch so that you don’t need to unbutton that top button after dinner. These 9” high rise skinny jeans: rip and repair edition are my new go to jeans. The quality is amazing and the comfort is an 11 on a 1-10 scale. Trust me, you will be a convert the second you try these jeans on. Now, who else is ready to throw on a flannel and some knee high boots and go apple picking?

Happy Sunday! Today I want to share this little red number I recently found. I am so not a red lover because I think it makes me look a little washed out, BUT I made an exception and may have changed my opinion on this whole anti red thing with this dress! I LOVE it and I think it is the perfect dress for a hot day, and also will be super cute with black leggings in the fall and winter. The short loose cut makes it easy to throw on for errands, or to grab an ice cream cone. I snatched mine at one of my favorite boutiques in Boston’s North End, Injeanius. The dress is by Z Supply and trust me when I tell you it will become your new fav.
I had so much fun prancing around the North End and posing in front of my (shocker) favorite white walls with my friend, Catherine Threlkeld Photography. She is the BEST and is so fun to shoot with. Who doesn’t love shooting with someone that they feel comfortable with? I love how comfortable she makes me feel and the direction she gives–she is just awesome!! All of her information is below the photos!

My roommate and I planned a last minute trip to NYC (longer post all about our trip coming at end of this week) but I wanted to share my travel outfit with you! We traveled via LimoLiner, an AMAZING luxury bus service with round trips or one way tickets from Boston to NYC. They pick you up in either Back Bay or Framingham at the Sheraton Hotels in either location, and drop you right in Midtown in NYC! The inside of the bus is stunning, picture big cozy leather chairs but in a bus. All of the seats recline and have a foot rest…HELLO comfort and plenty of space to store a backpack and/or purse. There is space below the bus for luggage. Each bus has an attendant so you feel as though you are flying. There is drink and food service during the 4 hour trip (same time as a train ride), and you get to customize your order. I chose the cold breakfast which was donut holes, yogurt, and fresh fruit. Mid ride we received warm lemon scented towelettes to wash up which was oh so lovely. During the trip we watched The Breakfast Club on the amazing flat screen TVs, I have to give a shout out to our attendant who said he daughter had chosen that for us to watch, GREAT choice. The TVs don’t play aloud so if you are worried about being able to work (because you can, there is amazing WIFI), don’t worry at all since you have to plug your headphones into the outlet in order to hear the TV. About an hour before we got to NYC we were served snacks which included Kind bars and Cape Cod potato chips…um YUM. I cannot recommend LimoLiner more. It was such an amazing trip down here and although I don’t want to leave NYC tomorrow, I can’t wait to sit in those comfy chairs again and head back to Boston in style.
Since I knew I would be sitting for four hours, I decided I wanted to be comfy and wanted something simple to put on since we left at 6 AM, meaning wake up call at 5 AM! Just before our trip I popped into one of my favorite boutiques in Boston, Ensemble, and found this English Factory collared dress! It is absolutely adorable and my favorite colors (white and blue, with a touch of red; I am patriotic what can I say?)! Here is a similar dress to the one I am wearing below.
I discovered this brand at Ensemble months ago and it has quickly become one of my favorite affordable brands! The pieces are all made so beautifully and have such a nautical and preppy vibe so you know I am in love! Last time I was in NYC I wore an amazing white top from them and I had a lot of questions about it, and I will link that HERE.
I hope you all are keeping cool in this crazy heat, I know that my roomie and I are staying cool with ice cream and finding shade!
Hey guys! I wanted to share an easy one step outfit (rompers are the BEST) for a fun girls night out or a date night! This spaghetti strapped romper (which most people think is a dress) is super cute with flip flops or dressed up with wedges or heels. I put it with wedges for a girls night out because this lady can’t do heels with the cobblestones in Boston.
I have WAY over worn this romper because it is so easy to slip on just go run errands, or head out to drinks. I love how different it looks when I throw my hair up in a top knot during the day and wear it with very simple make up (I wear very little even when I am going “all out”), but I also love how dressy it can look when I pair it with a bold lip, like I did here since the look needed a pop for a night out! I will link similar ones below the photos. Hope you all are having a lovely day.

Romper: Sold out but similar look HERE and HERE
Howdy party people! It’s my birthday week and yikes I am turning old. There is something about 24 that scares me! Oh well, it is inevitable that June 26th will come and go and there isn’t anything I can do about so I am working on embracing it 🙂 When I went into one of my favorite coffee shops in Boston today, Ogawa, they put some cute latte art in my drink which I will post a picture of on my Instagram later today! What a fun way to start off my birthday week, yes, week. I am a middle child after all.
Today is so gorgeous so I decided to wear a dress because it sounded cool and flowy. I recently received this dress c/o Romwe and am LOVING it. It is so sweet and easy to wear and can be worn with heels, or with sandals. Click the links below for more details! It could be worn to a BBQ or even to a casual wedding with the right pair of shoes and fun earrings.
Dress: Romwe (This dress is under $25 you guys)
Sunnies: Warby Parker
Purse: (c/0) Coach
Happy Sunday y’all! I hope everyone had a glorious weekend. Mine was so nice, I got to spend it with those I love the most and am finally recovering from this awful tonsillectomy. (KNOCK ON WOOD, no seriously, knock on wood, please).
Today I wanted to chat about one of the big trends right now…cold shoulder tops. (I like to call them that). Off the shoulder tops are EVERYTHING these days and I am SO on board. They are so girly and flirty and show just the perfect amount of skin while still feeling covered. Any time I see an off the shoulder top at a store I grab it because I am so obsessed! H&M and Forever 21 are flooded with these tops and so are my other favorite bargain hunting stores, TJ Maxx and Marshalls.
What I love so much about these tops is how dressy they can be, but also how casual they can be with a pair of jeans and cute sneaks. Skirts, pants, shorts, you name it it goes which makes it a super versatile piece in your wardrobe, particularly one that is a neutral!
Here are some neutral off the shoulder tops that I am LOVING:
Bloomingdales (under $60)
Nordstrom (under $80)
Lulus (under $60)
Forever 21 (under $20)
Forever 21 (under $20) I have this one, it was on my Instagram last week and I promised to post the link! LOVE this top.
Top below is sold out but here is similar.
