You guys! I have found the BEST consignment store in the Boston area and I am so excited to be partnering with them to share two styled winter looks! For my first look, I wanted to do a casual look that would also work for drinks with the girls but also for running around doing errands. Chic Consignment, in downtown Andover, has all the best brands in like new (and a lot with tags) condition. The owner, May, is the sweetest and with a fashion background herself, knows her stuff. Make sure to check out Chic Consignment and snag some cute winter coziness for yourself!

Monogram Everything, duh!

Hey y’all! I am starting to pull together some ideas for holiday gifts and I definitely will be gifting some Barrington Gifts totes. If you know me, I am ALWAYS carrying a tote bag! They carry everything. I am someone who has a band aid, Advil, and a bottle of water on hand in their bag just in case. Call me Mary Poppins. At least this is the cutest tote EVER and personalized, so it doesn’t get much better. This tote is so versatile and goes with anything day to night PLUS is fabulous for travel. I love how you can make it YOU with colors, patterns, and your monogram DUH. What color combo and pattern do you like best?

Trunk Club Boston is Here!

YOU GUYS. Trunk Club is finally here! Trunk Club has officially landed in the city of Boston and I could not be more thrilled. In case you are new to Trunk Club, they are a styling service that can be done completely online. They are a personal styling service not only for women, but also for men! If you are lucky enough to have a Clubhouse near you, you can go in and experience the process in person and have a styling appointment with one of their amazing stylists in their gorgeous show room.

The stylists are all incredibly attentive and want YOU to feel your most comfortable and most confident. When I created my online account I was contacted immediately by my stylist, Annie. Annie asked me all about my personal style and we quickly became besties over the phone. (But seriously, we wear the same size in tops, pants, shoes, dresses, even have the same hair and are the same height so basically we’re soul sisters). I told her that I was a simple kind of gal and lover of neutrals but that I wanted to be more fun and would love for her to hit me with some bold pieces! Since Boston’s show room (they call them their Clubhouses, how cute is that?) just opened, I was able to pop on by for my appointment but if I wasn’t local, Trunk Club would have sent me a trunk filled with these goodies for me to try on in the comfort of my own home (with free shipping, of course) and I would have 5 days to decide whether or not I want to keep the items! Their brands include Vince, Theory, Joie, Splendid, and Current / Elliott. These high quality and beautiful brands are all ones that I feel comfortable investing in since I know they are going to last and make a statement in my wardrobe.

Ps. Trunk Club has seven clubhouses that are located in Chicago, New York, LA, Dallas, DC, Charleston, and now Boston.

Below are some of the amazing looks that Annie pulled for me. I sort of want her to come over and pick out my outfit every day…ok I definitely want her to. Prep of Boston Finals-1.jpgPrep of Boston Finals-2.jpgPrep of Boston Finals-8.jpgPrep of Boston Finals-41.jpgPrep of Boston Finals-52.jpgPrep of Boston Finals-19.jpgPrep of Boston Finals-71.jpg

Comfy with a Side of Fringe

I have some exciting news…it’s Friday which means tomorrow I am hoping that you all get to lounge around in your comfiest clothing, put away your work clothes, and veg out in front of a good show. If you follow along on my Instagram, @prepofboston, you know that I have been obsessing over comfy dresses with booties or boots this fall. This dress by Z Supply has been on extreme repeat this fall and I have paired it with leggings or tights on colder days. I love how I can dress it up with a statement necklace and a blazer for a meeting or keep it super simple with just a bold lip! I also have to confess that I have totally fallen asleep in this dress at night because it is just that cozy.

I hope that you all have fun plans this weekend that include family, friends, and COMFY CLOTHING…because really those are the three most important things in life, right?

An Afternoon at the Farm

This fall has been whizzing by—I cannot believe it is almost November! I have been dying to go to a farm to go apple picking but I completely missed the peak apple picking season, however I have still been craving a fall trip to my favorite farm. So when Enterprise CarShare reached out to me to try the program, I knew exactly where I wanted to go.

My good friend and photographer, Katie (KS Photography) came with me to my favorite childhood farm, which happens to be next to my parent’s house. My dad and I have a tradition of walking over to the farm and picking out the most perfect pumpkin and although sometimes we disagree on what “perfect” means we carve the same thing every single year…stay tuned. I am hoping we will be creating our masterpiece this weekend.

Thank goodness for Enterprise CarShare: I was able to rent an SUV large enough to bring home all the pumpkins and apples my little heart could handle. Now my fall loving self is pretty “falled” out, if that’s possible. If you aren’t familiar with the program, Enterprise CarShare is a membership-based service (super easy application process) and once you are approved, you’re able to view and book vehicles in your area 24/7 (Boston has so many vehicle pickup locations all over the city).

The best part about Enterprise CarShare is that you can rent a car for an hour or overnight—it is completely up to you. My experience was absolutely seamless and I am so excited to take another trip. Enterprise CarShare is offering a special promotion for you all if you sign up via THIS link, giving you your first year of membership for $0, and you will receive $20 in driving credits by entering BLOG16 in the promo code box when you sign up!

Fall Skin Care Routine

You guys, this weather has been so incredibly finicky and it is messing with my poor skin! It doesn’t know what it wants to do–be super dry or super oily! I don’t blame it for being so indecisive because of this insane weather we have been having. Luckily I have partnered with Clarisonic’s new MIA 2 and it has completely changed my skin care routine for the better. For the past month I have been using this product daily (yes it is gentle enough to use it every single day) and have noticed how soft my skin is which is probably because it is ACTUALLY being cleaned unlike when I just wash my face with cleanser and rub it around with my hands. The brush truly gets deep into your pores and cleans them thoroughly. The cleanser and brush together leave my skin so smooth. I use the clay mask once a week to refresh the skin. With two speeds on the MIA 2 brush, you get to choose the level of cleaning which puts the user in control. This is definitely a must have so treat yourself because we all deserve a little gift. Ps if you use HERCAMPUS at checkout you will receive 15% off your MIA 2!

Two in Ones

You guys, I am a huge fan of making life easier and so if I can wear one piece and it appears as though I am layering in a fashionable way I am so in. I also love actual layering as well–but this just makes life so much easier if you want to look cute in a flash and not wear 2 actual layers because y’all know that now that temps are getting cooler the second you walk into a coffee shop you are SWEATING because HEAT. I partnered up with SheIn again to bring you this adorable brown two in one top that is so perfect for this fall and winter! I have loved putting it on with my hair down, up, with jewelry, without jewelry, with jeans, and also with leggings. It is long enough on me so it looks super cute with leggings and booties. I paired it here with jeans and a hat to run errands. Since it can be dressed up and down so easily it has already become a staple in my closet!
